Georgia Museum of Art "Watercolors from Apples to Zebras

The Athens-Clarke County Library invites teens to discover their inner Van Gogh at a watercolor class hosted led by the Georgia Museum of Art on Wednesday, June 6, from 2 - 4 p.m.

The Athens-Clarke County Library will present Watercolors from Apples to Zebras, a Just My Imagination workshop sponsored by the Georgia Museum of Art.  The workshop introduces the world of watercolors by offering participants the opportunity to sketch, complete a contour drawing and paint a still life.  Athens artist and teacher Jackie Slayton Methe will begin the workshop with a discussion about watercolors followed by a demonstration of techniques and brush strokes.

This program is free for teens between the ages of 11-18, but pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 25 participants. Call (706) 613-3650, ext. 329, to reserve your spot.
